C1260 Steering Angle Sensor Circuit-Signal - Scantool Diagnostics:_:Monitor Scantool data

Monitor GDS Data

1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC)
2. IG "ON" & ENG "ON".
3. Turn the steering wheel to the left or right.
4. Monitor the "Steering Angle Sensor" parameters on the GDS.




Fig.1) Test Condition : Ignition "ON" & Engine "ON".
5. Whenever steering wheel is turned, is the steering sensor's GDS data changed?
YES
(1) Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).
(2) IG "ON" & ENG "ON".
(3) Keep the steering wheel in ceter position.
(4) Monitor the "STEERING ANGLE SNSR" parameters on the GDS.

Specification :Approx. 0 DEG




(5) Is parameter displayed within specifications?





NO
> Go to "Terminal and Connector Inspection" procedure.
6. Perform steering angle sensor calibration.
(1) IG "ON".
(2) Line up the steering wheel in a straight.
(3) Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).
(4) Go in Elec. Power Steering system.
(5) Perform ASP calibration. (figure 3).
(6) Go to "Component Inspection" Precedure.
