Cellular Phone Microphone: Service and Repair

Inspection

1. Check the hands free remote control switch for resistance between terminals in each switch position.










Removal

1. Disconnect the negative(-) battery terminal.
2. Remove the steering wheel.

3. Remove the cover(A) after loosening screws.








4. Remove the hands free switch(A) after loosening screw and connector.






Installation

1. Install the hands free switch to the steering wheel.
2. Install the steering wheel.
3. Reassemble the driver airbag module.

NOTE:
Make sure the hands free remote control switch and the airbag module connectors are plugged in properly.
