Rear Vision Camera: Description and Operation
Description
To provide the driver the rear of the vehicle, the back view camera receives the vehicle rearview image signal and displays the image on the AV head unit monitor or on the right side of the inside rearview mirror.
The back view camera is a supplementary device that show the blind spot of the rear of the vehicle.
If the gear is in R for more than 0.7 second, the back view camera opens and comes out, and the rearview image turns on within 0.5 second.
If the gear is shifted from R to P/N/D, the image turns off within 0.5 second.
If the gear is shifted from R to P/N/D, the back view camera closes after 10 seconds. The back view camera closes immediately if the ignition is off.
CAUTION:
When the camera opens and closes, a noise will be heard. This is a normal condition.

If the back view camera senses the motor being stacked or stalled, the camera returns inside and attempts movement 3 times. If the condition is not solved, it enters the slip mode at the initial position.
