SERVICE INFORMATION

If a 1997-99 QX4 exhibits the driveability incidents listed below, the cause may be throttle chamber deposits.

^ Idle speed fluctuation

^ Incorrect idle speed

^ Increased accelerator pedal resistance

^ Difficulty accelerating smoothly from a stop





A new throttle chamber (with a throttle opener mechanism) and related components (see Figure 1) are now available to resolve this incident if it should occur. Refer to the Service Procedure for instructions on installing the new throttle chamber and related parts.
