Removal and Replacement of the VCR/Checking the VCR
NOTE:Before disconnecting VCR from the vehicle, remove any videocassettes from inside the VCR.
1. While pushing the spring-loaded release button on the side of the VCR, gently slide the VCR towards the rear of the vehicle (see Figure 5a). Lift slightly, then lay the VCR on its side without straining the VCR cable (see Figure 5b).
2. Check the fit of the VCR cable (see Figure 6a). Note that the 8 pin DIN plug is keyed for proper alignment. Confirm plug alignment before insertion (see Figure 6b). The plug should fit into the VCR with a gentle push. Do not force the plug. Fold the cover flap back over the plug when done.
3. Set the VCR Unit onto the floor bracket so that the bottom tabs (see Figure 6b) fall into the slots of the bracket. Carefully slide the player toward the front of the vehicle until you hear it click into place. Do not pinch the cable when installing the unit.
WARNING:
Mobile Entertainment System VCR Unit must be securely latched into the bottom bracket to prevent sudden movement and possible injury in event of a crash. During installation, confirm Mobile Entertainment System VCR unit is secure into the bottom bracket by pushing forward and backward.
