IF YOU CONFIRM:
An applied vehicle has front and/or rear Door Sash/Moldings that have one or any combination of the following symptoms:
^ White discoloring or streaking
^ Moisture under clear coat
^ Clear coat coming off or shrinking
ACTION:
^ Replace the Door Sash/Molding on the front and/or rear doors. Refer to the Service Procedure for details.

Submit a Primary Failed Part (PP) line claim using the claims coding shown.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
CAUTION:
Use suitable covers to protect carpet upholstery paint etc. when performing this Service Procedure.
Replace the Door Sash/Molding at the top of the front and rear doors as follows:
Front Doors
Remove Door Finisher
1. Remove the Door Finisher Screw Cap and the screw behind it (see Figure 2).
2. Remove the Grip Handle Screw Cap and the two screws behind it (see Figure 3).
3. Use a suitable plastic pry tool to release the Clips that secure the Door Finisher to the door. Then disconnect all wire harnesses and remove the Door Finisher (see Figure 4).
CAUTION:
Be careful NOT to damage the vehicle paint when removing the Door Finisher.
NOTE:
Place the Door Finisher in a clean safe location until re-assembly.
Remove Side Rear View Mirror
4. Use a suitable plastic pry tool to carefully and gently remove the Plastic Panel that covers the Side Rear View Mirror mounting nuts (see Figure 5).
5. Disconnect the Vehicle Wire Harness from the Mirror (see Figure 5).
6. Remove the three 10 mm Nuts that secure the Mirror (see Figure 6).
7. Remove the Mirror from the vehicle (see Figure 7).
Reposition Weather Seal
8. Use a suitable plastic pry tool to carefully remove the black plastic Clip that holds the upper corner of the Weather Seal (see Figure 8).
9. Carefully and gently pull the Weather Seal out of the Mounting Channel along the top of the door (see Figure 9).
10. Allow the Weather Seal to hang down (see Figure 10).
Replace Door Sash/Molding
11. Use both hands/thumbs to pry off the top back edge of the old Door Sash/Molding. Start on the left side and work your way to the right. See Figure 11.
12. Remove the complete old Door Sash/Molding from the door (see Figure 12).
CAUTION:
Be careful NOT to damage the vehicle paint when removing the Door Sash/Molding.
13. Install the new Door Sash/Molding:
^ First hang the upper edge of the Door Sash/Molding onto the top edge of the door.
^ Then carefully and gently press the bottom edge of the Door Sash/Molding onto the door.
NOTE:
Make sure the Door Sash/Molding is fully installed/seated.
Re-Assembly
14. Re-install the Weather Seal. Make sure the seal is fully seated in the mounting channel of the door.
15. Re-install the Side Rear View Mirror. Tighten the mounting nuts to 45 inch pounds.
16. Re-install the Door Finisher. Make sure Door Finisher is correctly aligned and is securely fastened to the door.
Final Steps
17. Peel off the clear plastic Protective Film from the Door Sash/Molding (see Figure 13).
18. Wipe off any smudges or marks from the vehicle.
19. Confirm the following items operate properly:
^ Up and down window operation
^ All door switch functions
^ Mirror operation
^ Inner and outer door handle operation
^ Door lock and unlock operation
^ Door foot light operation Door Weather Seal fit
Rear Doors
Reposition Weather Seal
1. Use a suitable plastic pry tool to carefully remove the black plastic Clip that holds the upper corner of the Weather Seal (see Figure 14).
2. Carefully and gently pull the Weather Seal out of the mounting channel along the top of the door (see Figure 15).
3. Allow the Weather Seal to hang down (see Figure 16).
Replace Door Sash/Molding
4. Use both hands/thumbs to pry off the top back edge of the old Door Sash/Molding. Start on the left side and work your way to the right. See Figure 17.
5. Remove the complete old Door Sash/Molding from the door (see Figure 18).
CAUTION:
Be careful NOT to damage the vehicle paint when removing the Door Sash/Molding.
6. Install the new Door Sash/Molding:
^ First hang the upper edge of the Door Sash/Molding onto the top edge of the door.
^ Then carefully and gently press the bottom edge of the Door Sash/Molding onto the door.
NOTE:
Make sure the Door Sash/Molding is fully installed/seated.
Re-Assembly
7. Re-install the Weather Seal. Make sure the seal is fully seated in the mounting channel of the door.
Final Steps
8. Peel off the clear plastic Protective Film from the Door Sash/Molding (see Figure 19).
9. Wipe off any smudges or marks from the vehicle.
10. Confirm the Door Weather Seal fit.
