AWD Warning Lamp Does Not Turn Off

AWD WARNING LAMP DOES NOT GO OUT SEVERAL SECONDS AFTER ENGINE STARTED (AWD LOCK INDICATOR LAMP GOES OUT)

1. PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS
WITH CONSULT-II
Using CONSULT-II perform self-diagnosis.

NOTE: If self-diagnosis is not carried out, check power supply and ground.

OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 2.
NG >> Determine the location of the malfunction according to the result of Self-diagnosis using CONSULT-II. (AWD system is malfunctioning.)

2. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION LINE
WITH CONSULT-II
Perform the self-diagnosis. Is a malfunction in the CAN communication indication in the results?

YES or NO
YES >> Check CAN communication line.
NO >> GO TO 3.

3. CHECK AWD CONTROL UNIT CONNECTOR FOR PROPER CONNECTION
Perform AWD control unit connector for proper connection.

OK or NG
OK >> Replace AWD control unit.
NG >> Repair or replace connector.
