IF YOU CONFIRM:

When using the remote keyless entry (keyfob) the horn-chirp and lamp-flash responses do not match those selected with the center display screen:

^ Personalized Settings Menu or

^ Vehicle Electronic Systems

Explain operation of these areas and how the settings can be changed to your customer as described in ACTION and SERVICE INFORMATION below.

ACTIONS:





^ Use the keyfob to change the horn-chirp and lamp-flash responses back to their original settings (see chart).

^ Use the center display screen Personalized Settings Menu or Vehicle Electronic Systems to select the desired responses.

SERVICE INFORMATION

The remote keyless entry (keyfob) horn-chirp and lamp-flash responses can be changed/selected using:





Personalized Setting Menu (vehicles without navigation system see Figure 1)

or





The Vehicle Electronic Systems (vehicles with navigation system see Figure 2)

or

^ Using the keyfob: Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for longer then 2 seconds.

When using the keyfob in this way the following settings are available:

If the keyfob is used to change these response (as indicated above) the center display screen will not show the changed settings.

If you have a vehicle with a horn-chirp or lamp-flash response that is different then indicated by the center display screen:

^ Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the keyfob for longer than 2 seconds (change the responses to the original settings).

^ Then use the center display screen to select the desired responses.

To prevent future occurrence of this condition use the center display Personalized Settings Menu or Vehicle Electronic Settings to change/select the horn-chirp and lamp-flash responses.
