Step 4: Clean and Inspect the Cylinder Body (part of the caliper assembly)A. Use brake cleaner to clean/remove any adhesive from the fingers of the cylinder body and the face of the pistons. Be careful not to damage the pistons or piston boots.
B. Inspect the Piston Boots for damage (rips and tears).
^ If the boots are damaged replace them.
NOTE:
This bulletin does not have parts or claims information for piston boot replacement.
For vehicles built after the following dates and VIN's, skip to Step 7: Install New Front Brake Pads.
