Main Power Supply and Ground Circuit
MAIN POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUITDescription
Supply power to TCM.
Diagnosis Procedure
1. CHECK TCM POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect A/T assembly harness connector.
3. Check voltage between A/T assembly vehicle side harness connector terminals and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 2.
NO >> Check the following. If NG, repair or replace damaged parts.
^ Harness for short or open between battery and A/T assembly vehicle side harness connector terminals 1, 2.
^ Harness for short or open between ignition switch and A/T assembly vehicle side harness connector terminal 6.
^ 10A fuse (No. 36, located in the fuse, fusible link and relay box)
^ 10A fuse (No. 43, located in the IPDM E/R)
^ Push-button ignition switch.
2. CHECK TCM GROUND CIRCUIT
Check continuity between A/T assembly vehicle side harness connector terminals and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 3.
NO >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
3. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM (STEP 1)
Check the following.
^ Check terminals of A/T assembly harness connector for damage.
^ Check connector for loose connection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 4.
NO >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
4. CHECK TERMINAL CORD ASSEMBLY
1. Remove control valve with TCM.
2. Disconnect TCM connector.
3. Check continuity between A/T assembly harness connector terminals and TCM connector terminals.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 5.
NO >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
5. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM (STEP 2)
Check the following.
^ Check terminals of TCM connector and harness cladding for damage.
^ Check connector for loose connection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> INSPECTION END
NO >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
