DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
1. CHECK PNP SWITCH CIRCUIT
Perform self-diagnosis. Refer to TM-33, "CONSULT-III Function (TRANSMISSION)". Scan Tool Testing and Procedures
Do the self-diagnostic results indicate PNP switch?
YES >> Check the malfunctioning system. Refer to TM-44, "Diagnosis Procedure". P0705
NO >> GO TO 2.
2. CHECK CONTROL CABLE
Check the control cable.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.
NG >> Adjust control cable. Refer to TM-196, "2WD: Adjustment of A/T Position" (2WD) or TM-196, "4WD: Adjustment of A/T Position" (4WD). A/T Position
3. CHECK A/T FLUID LEVEL
Check A/T fluid level.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 4.
NG >> Refill [1][2]ATF.
4. CHECK A/T FLUID CONDITION
1. Remove oil pan.
2. Check A/T fluid condition.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 5.
NG >> Check the malfunction items. If any items are damaged, repair or replace damaged parts. Refer to TM-152, "Symptom Table" (Symptom No. 60). Symptom Table
5. CHECK SYMPTOM
Check again. Refer to TM-6, "Work Flow". Work Flow
OK or NG
OK >> INSPECTION END
NG >> GO TO 6.
6. PERFORM TCM INSPECTION
1. Perform TCM input/output signals inspection. Refer to TM-104, "Reference Value". Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters
2. If NG, recheck A/T assembly harness connector terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
OK or NG
OK >> INSPECTION END
NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
