LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT ON WITH SLOW AIR LEAK
APPLIED VEHICLES: 2008-2010 QX56 (JA60)
IF YOU CONFIRM
The low tire pressure warning light is ON,
AND
A slow air leak from a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensor(s) is detected.
ACTION
1. Replace all four (4) TPMS sensors with the sensors listed in the Parts Information section of this bulletin.
NOTE:
^ All four (4) TPMS sensors being installed on the vehicle must match (i.e. all sensors have the same part number).
^ Refer to WT> Removal and Installation > Transmitter (Pressure Sensor) in the applicable Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for TPMS sensor removal and installation procedures.
2. Perform Transmitter Wake Up Operation and ID Registration Procedure in the WT> Inspection and Adjustment section of the applicable ESM.
3. After the tires are inflated to the recommended pressure the vehicle may need to be driven at speeds above 16 MPH for the low tire pressure warning light to turn OFF.
