Cylinder Head Bolts





A: Bank 1
B: Bank 2
Arrow: Engine Front

First step 105 N-m (11 kg-m, 77 ft-lb)
Second step Loosen bolts to 0 N-m (0 kg-m, 0 ft-lb)
Third step 40.0 N-m (4.1 kg-m, 30 ft-lb)
Fourth step Turn 95° clockwise
Final step Turn 95° clockwise

Cylinder Head Bolt Inspection





Discard bolts and install new ones if the size difference between (C) and (B) exceeds the limit.

Limit [(C) - (B)] : 0.18 mm (0.0071 in)

A: Measuring point
e: 48 mm (1.89 in)
d: 11 mm (0.43 in)

If reduction of outer diameter appears in a position other than (B), use it as (B) point.

Cylinder Head Distortion Inspection








Measure distortion in six directions (A), (B), (C), (D), (E), and (F).
Install a new cylinder head if distortion exceeds limit.

Camshaft Bracket Bolts





First step: Bolts 7 to 10 1.96 N-m (0.20 kg-m, 1 ft-lb)
Second step: Bolts 1 to 6 1.96 N-m (0.20 kg-m, 1 ft-lb)
Third step: Bolts 1 to 10 5.88 N-m (0.60 kg-m, 4 ft-lb)
Final pass: Bolts 1 to 10 10.4 N-m (1.1 kg-m, 8 ft-lb)
