POWER WINDOW MOTOR:_:PASSENGER SIDE





Description
Door glass moves UP/DOWN by receiving the signal power window main switch or front power window switch
(passenger side).




Component Function Check
1. CHECK FRONT POWER WINDOW MOTOR (PASSENGER SIDE) OPERATION
Check front power window motor (passenger side) operation with power window main switch or front power window switch (passenger side).
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Power window motor (passenger side) is OK.
NO - SEE Diagnosis Procedure.




Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK FRONT POWER WINDOW MOTOR INPUT SIGNAL
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect front power window motor (passenger side) connector.
3. Turn ignition switch ON.
4. Check voltage between front power window motor (passenger side) harness connector and ground.





Is the measurement value within the specification?
YES - GO TO 3.
NO - GO TO 2.
2.CHECK POWER WINDOW MOTOR (PASSENGER SIDE) CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect front power window switch (passenger side) connector.
3. Check continuity between front power window switch (passenger side) harness connector and front power window motor (passenger side) harness connector.





4. Check continuity between front power window switch (passenger side) connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Replace front power window switch (passenger side). Removal And Installation.
NO - Repair or replace harness.
3. CHECK FRONT POWER WINDOW MOTOR (PASSENGER SIDE)
Check front power window motor (passenger side). SEE Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 4.
NO - Replace front power window motor (passenger side). Removal And Installation.
4.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Intermittent Incident.

Component Inspection
1.CHECK FRONT POWER WINDOW MOTOR (PASSENGER SIDE)
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect front power window motor (passenger side) connector.
3. Check motor operation by connecting the battery voltage directly to front power window motor (passenger side) terminals.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Front power window motor (passenger side) is OK.
NO - Replace front power window motor (passenger side). Removal And Installation.
