WATER LEAKING PAST SUNROOF SEAL

IF YOU CONFIRM:
Water leaks past the sunroof seal while in a high pressure car wash.
ACTION:
^ Install Sunroof Lid Assy Seal to trailing edge of Sunroof Panel.
^ Install Drain Assy Rubber Seal to Rear Drain Assembly.
NOTE:
Refer to Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for procedure to remove Sunroof Panel and SERVICE PROCEDURE to install seals.

CLAIMS INFORMATION
SERVICE PROCEDURE:
1. Remove Sunroof Panel. Figure 1 is for reference only.
^ Refer to (ESM) for model specific procedure.
2. Place Sunroof Panel upside down on a covered work table.
3. Clean entire trailing edge (rear of vehicle) of Sunroof Panel frame of any loose dirt or debris in area that Sunroof Lid Assy Seal will be applied to (See Figure 2).
4. After pre-cleaning surface, apply "3M Automotive Adhesion Promoter" (part number J-50397-19) from Squeak and Rattle Kit and allow 1 minute to dry.
5. Remove adhesive protector strip and apply Sunroof Lid Assy Seal (found in PARTS INFORMATION) evenly to area indicated in Figures 2 and 3.
6. Clean area that the Drain Assy Rubber Seal will be applied to (highlighted in green in Figure 4) on Rear Drain Assembly of any loose dirt or debris. Clean edge of sunroof Rear Drain.
7. After pre-cleaning surface, apply "3M Assembly Automotive Adhesion Promoter" (part number J-50397-19) from Squeak and Rattle Kit and allow 1 minute to dry.
8. Remove adhesive protector strip and apply Drain Assy Rubber Seal (found in PARTS INFORMATION) evenly to edge of Rear Drain Assembly and with lip facing front of vehicle (See Figures 5 and 6).
9. Reinstall Sunroof panel.

10. Confirm that sunroof panel is adjusted correctly and does not leak.
