Tightening Specifications
Cylinder Head Bolt Tightening Sequence
First step 105 Nm (11 kg-m, 77 ft-lb)
Second step 0 Nm (0 kg-m, 0 ft-lb) in reverse sequence
Third step 40.0 Nm (4.1 kg-m, 30 ft-lb)
Fourth step Tighten 95° clockwise
Fifth step Tighten 95° clockwise
Cylinder Head Bolts Outer Diameter Inspection
Whenever the size difference between (C) and (B) exceeds the limit, replace bolt
Limit [(C) - (B)] 0.18 mm (0.0071 in)
If reduction of outer diameter appears in a position other than (B), use it as (B) point
Cylinder Head Distortion Inspection
At each of several locations on bottom surface of cylinder head, measure the distortion in six directions (A), (B), (C), (D), (E), and (F)
If it exceeds the limit, replace cylinder head
Camshaft Bracket Bolts
First step: Bolt Nos. 7 to 10 1.96 Nm (0.20 kg-m, 1 ft-lb)
Second step: Bolt Nos. 1 to 6 1.96 Nm (0.20 kg-m, 1 ft-lb)
Third step: Bolt Nos. 1 to 10 5.88 Nm (0.60 kg-m, 4 ft-lb)
Fourth step: Bolt Nos. 1 to 10 10.4 Nm (1.1 kg-m, 8 ft-lb)
