Front Door Switch (Driver Side)

FRONT DOOR SWITCH (DRIVER SIDE)

Description

Detects front door (driver side) open/close condition.


Component Function Check


1. CHECK FUNCTION

1.Turn ignition switch ON.
2.Select "DOOR SW-DR" in "Data monitor" mode with CONSULT.
3.Check the front door switch (driver side) signal under the following conditions.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- INSPECTION END
NO- Perform diagnosis procedure. .


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK FRONT DOOR SWITCH (DRIVER SIDE) SIGNAL

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect front door switch (driver side) connector.
3.Check signal between front door switch (driver side) connector and ground with oscilloscope.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 3.
NO- GO TO 2.

2. CHECK FRONT DOOR SWITCH (DRIVER SIDE) CIRCUIT

1.Disconnect BCM connector.
2.Check continuity between BCM connector and front door switch (driver side) connector.





3.Check continuity between BCM connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Replace BCM. Exploded View.
NO- Repair or replace harness.

3. CHECK FRONT DOOR SWITCH (DRIVER SIDE)

Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 4.
NO- Replace front door switch (driver side). Removal And Installation.

4. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Intermittent Incident.
- INSPECTION END


Component Inspection


1. CHECK FRONT DOOR SWITCH (DRIVER SIDE)

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect front door switch (driver side) connector.
3.Check continuity between front door switch (driver side) terminals.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- INSPECTION END
NO- Replace front door switch (driver side). Removal And Installation.
