BLIND SPOT WARNING (BSW) SYSTEM : Fail-safe (Side Radar)


FAIL-SAFE CONTROL BY DTC

If a malfunction occurs in the side radar, ADAS control unit cancels control, and a chime will sound and the
"Please see owners manual" message appears in the vehicle information display.

TEMPORARY DISABLED STATUS AT BLOCKAGE

When the side radar is blocked, the operation is temporarily cancelled. Then the "Unavailable Side Radar
Obstruction" message appears in the vehicle information display and the warning systems ON indicator will blink. Also, under the following conditions, the operation may be temporarily cancelled.
- The side radar may be blocked by temporary ambient conditions such as splashing water, mist or fog.
- The blocked condition may also be caused by objects such as ice, frost or dirt obstructing the side radar.
