The Steering Switches Are Inoperative

THE STEERING SWITCHES ARE INOPERATIVE

Description

One or more of the steering switches to control the information display are inoperative.


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK STEERING SWITCH CIRCUIT

Check steering switch circuit. Refer to "Diagnosis Procedure" Steering Switch.
Is the inspection results normal?
YES- GO TO 3.
NO- Repair or replace harness or connectors.

2. CHECK STEERING SWITCH RESISTANCE

Check steering switch resistance. Refer to "Component Inspection" Steering Switch.
Is the inspection results normal?
YES- GO TO 3.
NO- Replace steering switch.

3. CHECK SPIRAL CABLE

Check spiral cable for continuity. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal and Installation.
Is the inspection results normal?
YES- Replace combination meter. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Service and Repair.
NO- Replace spiral cable. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal and Installation.
