IF YOU CONFIRM
There is a leak at the washer bottle filler neck when the bottle is filled to the top of the filler neck.

ACTIONS

1. Remove the washer bottle filler neck.

2. Dry bottle opening and neck.

3. Install a new o-ring seal.

4. Apply mild dish soap to the o-ring seal.

5. Reinstall the washer bottle filler neck.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

NOTE:
Carefully read and follow this procedure, step by step, to ensure a successful repair.





1. Remove the clip at the top of the washer fluid inlet (filler neck).





2. Pull the filler neck UP to remove.





3. Lower the fluid level in the washer bottle about 1 inch below the top of the bottle.

NOTE:
Fluid level can be lowered by running the washer pump with the windshield washer switch or using a suction ball (turkey baster) or other suction device.

4. With a clean cloth, dry the inner diameter of the bottle opening.

5. Remove the old o-ring seal.

6. With a clean cloth, dry the filler neck where the o-ring seats (o-ring grove).





7. Install a new o-ring seal.

^ New o-ring seal is listed in the Parts Information.

^ Make sure the new o-ring seal is correctly in place (see Figure 4b).





8. Apply mild dish soap to the o-ring seal.

9. Reinstall the filler neck in reverse order.

^ Keep the filler neck vertical (straight up and down) when inserting it into the bottle.

10. Refill the washer fluid to the top of the filler neck and make sure the leak is fixed.
