SERVICE INFORMATION
The Applied Vehicles are equipped with a new version of Intelligent Key presets memory. Each Intelligent Key can be programmed to have its own unique set of presets for certain vehicle systems.
Vehicle systems that are linked with Intelligent Key include:
^ Automatic Drive Positioner (includes driver seat, steering column, and mirror position memory)
^ Audio (station presets, etc.)
^ Auto air conditioning and heating (retains the last temperature and mode setting for each Intelligent Key user)
^ Navigation system (retains the last settings [e.g. Birdview TM] and clock display preference for each Intelligent Key user)
To set up Intelligent Key presets memory refer to Linking Intelligent Key/Keyfob to a stored memory position and Setting Memory Function in the Pre-driving checks and adjustments > Automatic Drive Positioner section of the applicable vehicle Owners Manual.
IMPORTANT
Explain the operation below if a customer says their Intelligent Key loses their personal system presets at times.
When the vehicle is entered without pressing the driver's door handle request switch or UNLOCK on the Intelligent Key and the engine is started:
^ All Intelligent Key presets will load except Automatic Drive Positioner memory settings. Press the appropriate memory button (1 or 2) on the door panel to recover Automatic Drive Positioner memory settings.
^ The vehicle will maintain the Intelligent Key presets of the last Intelligent Key recognized when two different programmed Intelligent Keys are within the vehicle.
