BODY

MODEL AFFECTED
1984 Trooper II to VIN 5402345
SERVICE INFORMATION
High ambient air temperature may cause Trooper II side trim pad fixing clips to expand. This can cause the pads to sag or "warp" between the clips.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
To ensure retention of these pads when installing a rear seat kit or repairing the trim pads for a service complaint, follow this procedure:
1. Remove trim pad completely from side of vehicle.
2. Use 3M Super Automotive attachment tape, part number 06380, or equivalent. Attach six-inch lengths of tape to the top inside edge of pad, above foam seal, between the fixing clips. (See Fig 1) .
3. Reinstall pad, pressing along top edge to be sure tape adheres to vehicle sides.
WARRANTY INFORMATION
Refer to body section of Flat Rate Manual for applicable labor times.
