This front wheel drive assembly, Figs. 1 and 2, incorporates a free wheeling hub at each wheel which allows the operator to manually engage and disengage the hub from the axle shafts. Each axle shaft is made up of a splined center shaft with a double offset joint (DOJ) on the inboard side and a Birfield joint (BJ) on the outboard side.
