Fuel Pump: Service and Repair

I-MARK EXC. FWD, PICKUP W/4-119 ENGINE & TROOPER II

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove distributor assembly.
3. Disconnect distributor cap wires.
4. Disconnect rubber hoses at fuel pump.
5. Remove engine hanger.
6. Remove fuel pump attaching bolt, then the fuel pump.
7. Reverse procedure to install.

PICKUP & TROOPER II W/4-138 ENGINE

1. Remove air cleaner assembly.
2. Remove intake manifold as described under ``Intake Manifold, Replace.''
3. Remove fuel pump attaching nuts, then fuel pump.
4. Reverse procedure to install.
