WINDSHIELD WASHER CHECK VALVE (KB AND KT)

Isuzu P'UP (KB) and Trooper II (KT) models.

SERVICE INFORMATION

On some vehicles, windshield washer fluid delivery may be delayed or prevented. This is due to the fluid draining back into the container, allowing air to enter the pump. This condition can be prevented by installing a check valve in the left-hand nozzle's hose.

WASHER FLUID LINE:

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Locate the tee in the washer fluid line (in engine compartment.

2. About 1-1/2 inches (40 mm) from the tee, cut the plastic line between the tee and the left-hand fluid nozzle.

3. Insert the check valve assembly into the line. The arrow on the valve must point in the direction of normal fluid flow-toward the left-hand nozzle. See illustration.

4. Operate the windshield washer and check for fluid leakage. Correct as necessary.
