1984-1987 Trooper II (KT) models.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Some affected vehicles may have a clicking noise coming from the speedometer. Proper installation of a redesigned speedometer cable can eliminate the noise.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Install the new speedometer cable in the following sequence:

1. Install cable into speedometer.

2. Route cable to transmission.
3. Install cable into transmission.

4. Install cable into existing clips on frame brackets.
