Fog Lamp - Adjustment During PDI

VEHICLES AFFECTED

1988 Trooper II (KT) and Pickup (TF) models with port-installed fog lamps.

SERVICE INFORMATION

To satisfy Federal and some state laws, the fog lamp aim on affected vehicles must be adjusted during PreDelivery Inspection (PDI). Check your individual state requirements.

Follow the fog lamp aiming instructions in this Service Bulletin.

SERVICE PROCEDURE








Refer to Figures 1 and 2.

Park vehicle to directly face a target wall 25 feet away. Be sure fog lamps are facing straight ahead.

2. Measure the vertical distance from the ground surface to the center of the fog lamp on the vehicle. Subtract 4 inches from this measurement.

3. Mark the resulting distance on the target wall, directly in front of the vehicle.

4. Turn on fog lamps.

5. Adjust fog lamp aim so that the top edge of the high intensity zone is no higher than the mark on the target wall.
