MSG Transmission Type

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The MSG5C transmission has been specifically developed for the new 4ZD1 engine installed to 4 x 2 vehicles.

The MSG5C transmission is a block ring fully synchronized 5-speed unit with a constant mesh reverse gear. Principle parts of the transmission are the integral clutch housing, the intermediate plate, the rear cover, and the gears.

The quadrant box is built-in to the rear cover.

The transmission case, intermediate plate, and rear cover are cast aluminum alloy to reduce weight.
