Fuel Tank: Service and Repair

Fuel Tank Assembly Exploded View:

Removal

1. Remove fuel tank protector.
2. Remove fuel tank drain plug and drain any remaining fuel.
3. Remove the feed, return, and evaporation hoses.
4. Disconnect the fuel tank unit connector.
5. Remove the filler neck.
6. Remove the tank mounting bolts.
7. Remove the fuel tank assembly.

Installation

1. Install the fuel tank drain plug and fuel tank assembly.
2. Install the tank mounting bolts.
3. Install the filler neck.
4. Connect the fuel tank unit connector.
5. Install the feed, return, and evaporation hoses.
6. Install the fuel tank protector.
7. Fill and check for leaks, repair as necessary.
