Idle Switch

1. Check to see that TPS bracket attaching bolt is secured tightly.
2. Ensure there is no play in the TPS arm and primary throttle valve arm.
3. Connect a suitable ohmmeter to the green and black wires of the TPS.
4. Open throttle lever approximately 1/3the way, then gradually close lever. Check for continuity when primary throttle valve reaches 18° (from horizontal plane) on automatic transmission models or 16° (from horizontal plane) on manual transmission models.
