Fuel Pump: Service and Repair

Fuel Pump Replacement:

REMOVAL
- Remove air cleaner.
- Remove intake manifold assembly.
- Remove fuel pump.

Installing Fuel Pump:

INSTALLATION
- Remove valve cover.
- Turn the engine over until #4 cylinder is at TDC, compression stroke.
- Move the fuel pump push rod (1) against the eccentric (2) on the cam. Hold the push rod in the raised position.
- Tighten the fuel pump bolts.
- Install fuel pump (3).
- Install the valve cover.
- Install intake manifold assembly.
- Install air cleaner.
