Pickup (TF) and Amigo (TC) models with 4ZDI engine.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Excessively tightening the air cleaner center bolt wing nut during air cleaner installation may cause the air cleaner rubber gasket to distort and interfere with the operation of the choke plate to fast idle cam linkage.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
When reinstalling or replacing the air cleaner, be sure not to overtighten the air cleaner center bolt wing nut.

If any abnormal fast idle operation is noted, inspect the fast idle cam linkage area (Figure 1) for gasket interference.
Reposition the gasket, or trim a small amount of material from the outer diameter of the gasket, to provide adequate clearance between the gasket and fast idle cam linkage screw.
