All models equipped with 4ZD1 or 4ZE1 engine.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Some affected vehicles may experience leakage from the area of the crankshaft front oil seal retainer. This leakage may be caused by splitting/cracking of the paper crankshaft front oil seal retainer gasket.

To correct this condition, replace the original crankshaft front oil seal retainer gasket with a new, improved crankshaft front oil seal retainer gasket (Part No. 8-97143-478-0) using the procedure described in this Service Bulletin. The new crankshaft front oil seal retainer gasket is made of a material that is resistant to splitting/cracking.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Replace the original crankshaft front oil seal retainer gasket with the new, improved crankshaft front oil seal retainer gasket (Part No. 8-97143-478-0), in accordance with the appropriate Workshop Manual.
