Removal

DISASSEMBLY
Refer to "Transmission with Transfer Case / Removal and Installation" for transmission removal procedure.





Disassembly steps
1. Bolt
! 2. Pressure plate assembly
3. Driven plate assembly
4. Spring
5. Collar; shift, with bearing
6. Fork assembly; clutch shift
7. Bolt; flywheel fixing
8. Washer; flywheel
9. Flywheel assembly
! 10. Bearing; ball, crankshaft

NOTE: Details of the service procedure are provided for "Important Operations" only, marked with "!" above. Pay close attention to these steps.





2. Pressure plate assembly
Aligner : J-24547 (4ZE1, 2.6L)
J-33169 (V6, 2.8L)

Do not permit oil or grease to come in contact with the working face of the clutch driven plate.





10. Bearing ball, crankshaft
Do not remove except for replacement.
Remover : J-23907


NOTE: Make necessary adjustments, repairs, and part replacements if wear, damage, or other problems are discovered during inspection. Refer to Testing and Inspection for items to be inspected during clutch service.
