SERVICE INFORMATION





On some affected vehicles the rear seat hold-down hook located in the center of the floorboard (Figure 1) may become warm due to heat transferring from the exhaust system to the floorpan. Installing a cover over the hook will prevent possible passenger discomfort.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Remove plastic bottom cover of rear seat platform.

2. Lift carpeting at the center front of the rear seat.

3. Install cover over the rear seat hold-down hook, using two rivets and two plates, as shown in Figure 1. See the "Parts Information" section of this Service Bulletin for cover, rivet and plate part numbers.

4. Reinstall carpeting and plastic bottom cover of rear seat.
