Idle Speed: Adjustments

Idle speed is programmed into the ECM and controlled through the idle air control (IAC) valve mounted on the throttle body. Refer to the EMISSION CONTROL LABEL in the engine compartment for specification.

If the idle speed is not stable or incorrect, refer to Computers and Controls for further testing.
