Scan Tool Testing and Procedures
PURPOSEThe "Scan Data" listed may be used for comparison, after completing the diagnostic circuit check and finding the on-board diagnosis system functioning properly and no diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) were displayed.
The "Typical Values" are an average of display values recorded from normally operating vehicles and are intended to represent what a normally functioning system would display.
TEST EQUIPMENT:
Connect a "Scan-Tool" to the ALDL connector located under L.H. side of instrument panel. Only the parameters on this table are used for diagnosis. If a "Scan" tool reads other parameters, the values are not recommended by ISUZU for diagnostic use.
A "SCAN TOOL" that displays faulty or incorrect data should not be used and the problem should be reported to the manufacturer. The use of faulty equipment can result in mis-diagnosis and unnecessary repairs.
VEHICLE PRE-CONDITIONS:
- Engine idling
- At operating temperature (upper radiator hose hot)
- Closed throttle
- Park or Neutral
- Closed loop
- All accessories OFF
