Code 65

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The transmission oil temperature sensor senses the temperature of the transmission fluid and provides this information to the TCM.

TEST DESCRIPTION
Numbers below refer to circled numbers on the diagnostic chart.
1. This test checks for continuity in circuit wiring and transmission oil temperature sensor.
2. This test checks transmission oil temperature sensor.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Trouble Code 65 sets when the TCM detects an open between terminals 17 and 22 of the TCM connector or a short to voltage at terminal 22 of the TCM connector. If no failure is detected after 3 seconds, normal automatic transmission operation is restored. Trouble Code 65 is stored.
