Code 66

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The transmission oil temperature sensor senses the temperature of the transmission fluid and provides this information to the TCM.

TEST DESCRIPTION
Numbers below refer to circled numbers on the diagnostic chart.
1. This test determines if the transmission oil temperature sensor or wiring to the sensor are shorted together.
2. This test determines if the wiring or the sensor is shorted to ground.
3. This test isolates the short circuit.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Trouble Code 66 sets when the TCM detects a short to ground at terminal 22.
