Transfer Case: Testing and Inspection
DIAGNOSIS
1. Hard gear shifting
Hard gear shifting may also result from dragging clutch so that the function of the clutch should be checked before inspection of the transmission unit for troubles.
2. Slips out of gear
3. Gear noisy
If noises arise around the transmission with the gear shift lever in neutral and with the engine at idle, depress the clutch pedal. If the noises stops when the clutch is disengaged, it indicates that the trouble lies within the transmission unit.
4. Oil leakage
