Transmission Control Systems: Description and Operation

The transmission control module (TCM) receives in-puts from switches, sensors and the electronic control module (ECM) and controls the functions of mode to the transmission. The transmission control module also controls the "POWER DRIVE," "WINTER DRIVE" and "CHECK TRANS" indicator lights and allows for diagnostic testing through the transmission control module diagnostic connectors.
