SERVICE INFORMATION

Some affected vehicles may experience hesitation when accelerating during warm-up. To eliminate these conditions, a new calibration ECM is available from American Isuzu Parts Distribution Network (AIPDN).





NOTE:
There are some affected vehicles which already have the new calibration, indicated by a white tag on the ALDL harness at the connector (shown in Figure 1).

SERVICE PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT

On vehicles before VIN 7914295, ECMs that already have the new calibration are indicated by a white tag (Figure 1) on the ALDL harness at the connector.

If the tag is present, the ECM has already been recalibrated to new specifications for elimination of this condition, and therefore should not require replacement. Refer to the appropriate Workshop Manual for hesitation diagnosis procedures.

Install a new, improved ECM (listed in the "Parts Information" section of this Service Bulletin) as described in the appropriate Workshop Manual.
