Clutch Replace
1. On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.2. Remove transmission. Service and Repair
3. Mark clutch assembly to flywheel for installation in original position.
4. Remove pressure plate assembly attaching bolts and pressure plate assembly.
5. Remove clutch driven disc assembly.
6. Remove shift collar retaining spring.
7. Remove shift collar and bearing.
8. Remove clutch shift fork assembly.
9. Remove flywheel retaining bolt and washer, then the flywheel assembly.
10. Remove pivot bearing. Remove bearing only if bearing is being replaced.

11. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Always replace flywheel bolts if they have been removed. When using OEM replacement bolts, do not apply oil or thread locking agent to threads.
b. Tighten pressure plate mounting bolts to specifications in sequence shown, Figs. 1 and 2.
c. Lubricate clutch shift fork assembly with suitable grease.
