Mirrors: Description and Operation
The operation of the two power mirrors is controlled by the door mirror switch. Each mirror has two reversible motors: one motor moves the mirror up and down and one motor moves the mirror left and right. With the starter switch in ACC or ON, voltage is applied through fuse 13 to the control switch. With the master selector switch LH and the up/down switch in DOWN, voltage is applied through the down contacts of the up/down switch to the left door mirror up/down motor. Ground is provided through the LH contacts of the master selector switch and the DOWN contacts of the up/down switch and the mirror goes down. In the UP position, voltage is applied at the opposite side of the motor.
The left/right switch works similarly to the up/down switch. With the master selector switch in the RH position, voltage is applied to the right door mirror motors which then operate in a similar way.
