The MSG5C transmission has been specifically developed for the new 4ZD1 engine installed to 4 x 2 vehicles.

The MSG5C transmission is a block ring fully synchronized 5-speed unit with a constant mesh reverse gear.

Principle parts of the transmission are the integral clutch housing, the intermediate plate, the rear cover, and the gears.

The quadrant box or extension housing are built-in to the rear cover.

The transmission case, intermediate plate, and rear cover are cast aluminum alloy to reduce weight.
