Backup Lamp: Description and Operation

Automatic
With the ignition switch in ON or START, battery voltage is applied to fuse 5 and to the automatic transmission mode switch. With the transmission in reverse, the automatic transmission mode switch closes and battery voltage is applied to the back up lights and the back up lights go ON.

Manual
With the ignition switch in ON or START, battery voltage is applied to fuse 8 and to back up lights switch. With the transmission in reverse, the back up lights switch closes and battery voltage is applied to the back up lights and the back up lights go ON.
