Fuel Shut-Off System
The fuel shut-off system functions to cut off an extra fuel supply to the engine, when the vehicle is decelerated, to ensure an improved fuel economy and to prevent the occurrence of the after-fire in the exhaust. This system starts functioning when the vehicle is held standing or when the vehicle is running at speeds over the specified speed level, both with the throttle valve closed and with the engine speed still remaining high beyond the specified level. This system ceases to function when the engine speed comes down low to a point where the operation of the system is released or when any other vehicle operation condition comes to act enough against the continued operation of the system. The engine speed to activate or disactivate this system changes correspondingly as the engine coolant temperature changes.
