Automatic Transmission/Transaxle: Description and Operation

The transmission control module (TCM) receives inputs from switches, sensors and the engine control module and controls the functions of mode to the transmission. The TCM also controls the "POWER DRIVE," "WINTER DRIVE" and "CHECK TRANS" indicator lights and allows for diagnostic testing through the TCM diagnostic connectors.
