Power Locks: Description and Operation

Fuse C-18 applies battery voltage at all times to the door lock controller. By locking or unlocking either front door with either the key or the door lock knob, the door lock switch provides a ground path for the door lock controller. It signals the door lock controller to lock or unlock the other doors. The door lock controller locks or unlocks the doors by applying battery voltage and providing a ground to the door lock actuators in one direction to lock the doors and in the opposite direction to unlock the doors.
