- Install the cylinder head cover. Refer to "Cylinder head cover installation".
2. Install the distributor fixing bolt
- Tighten the fixing bolt to the specified torque.
Torque: 19 N.m (14 lb.ft.)
3. Install high tension cable (Spark plug wire)
- Install distributor wiring connector
- Set the ignition timing.
The ignition timing and engine idling speed must be checked and adjusted with the engine running under the following conditions.
- Engine must be thoroughly warmed up.
- Throttle must be completely closed and idle contact on.
- Keep front wheels straight ahead, if equipped with power steering.
- Air conditioner turned off (if so equipped)

Ignition timing: 12° @ 900 rpm
8. If out of specification, loosen the mounting bolt on the distributor, turn the distributor clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the timing. After adjustment, tighten the belt to the specified torque.
Torque: 19 N m (14 lb.ft.)
NOTE:
- When tightening the distributor mounting bolt, ensure that the distributor-body does not rotate together with the mounting bolt.
9. Unplug and reconnect all vacuum lines when all adjustments are complete.
